“Intelligent Trees" - Film Showing

Masks and other COVID-19 precautions in effect for all visitors.

Film Showing: August 5th, 2021 at 7:30 pm

“Trees talk, know family ties and care for their young? Is this too fantastic to be true? Scientist Suzanne Simard (The University of British Columbia, Canada) and German forester and author Peter Wohlleben have been investigating and observing the communication between trees over decades. And their findings are most astounding.”

Nature Negelected: “Are we loving it to death?”

This exhibit is an exploration of the theme Nature Neglected: “Are we loving it to death?” Photographers are asked to consider the impacts of modern human activity and overuse of the natural world in a dense urban environment through artistically powerful images. Can art prompt the reexamination of our impact, thinking and use of the Milwaukee River Greenway?

Presented by Milwaukee River Advocates as part of the Milwaukee River Greenway 15 celebration
