Join us on Wednesdays and Thursday at 3:00 pm on Riverwest Radio 104.1 during the Stay at Home Order.

OWL is an older-adult community-service program brought to you by the Jazz Gallery Center for the Arts and Bader Philanthropies. OWL topics include art, literature, music, science, wellness, nature, comedy, games & more!

Host Amy Schmutte, program director of OWL (Older.Wiser.Local) of the Jazz Gallery Center for the Arts, introduces a discussion, with co-host Christina Zawadiwsky (of “Where The Waters Meet” 80’s television fame). Amy and Christina talk with Marybeth about her knowledge of (and involvement with) the yearly Iditarod Dog-Sled Race in Alaska… the where, why, when and how… plus the finer details we’d never know til now.

Overall OWL description

OWL (Older.Wiser.Local), an older-adult community-service program brought to you by the Jazz Gallery Center for the Arts and Bader Philanthropies, broadcasts their (“normally” in-person-gathering) programs now on air at RW Radio, as we navigate this pandemic.  OWL topics include a wide variety of interest, including but not limited to:  art, literature, music, science, wellness, nature, comedy and games.  These broadcasts are mostly Q&A-style interviews, and some will be pre-recorded entertainment sessions (some created solely for this one-time use!!!) for topics such as music and comedy.  The Jazz Gallery Center for the Arts is proud (and grateful to RWRadio) to continue to serve our elder (50+) community.
