We are Recruiting New Board Members!
A Message to Our Community
The Jazz Gallery Center for the Arts (JGCA) is now in the process of recruiting several new board members to serve on the Board of Directors of the organization. We are reaching out to our JGCA members and wider community to provide information about this leadership opportunity.
Founded in 1979, the JGCA. is a nonprofit community arts organization serving as a home for emerging artists and musicians as well as those who’ve been around the block a few times. At the JGCA we provide a venue for experimental efforts along with more traditional takes, and everything in between. We celebrate the diversity of our community by reflecting it in the values and programming we present.
Our efforts are inspired by:
Our Vision: A community strengthened by creativity
Our Mission: We provide opportunities to create, present, and experience the arts in an open collaborative environment.
The next several years promise to be exciting ones for the JGCA as we, like so many other organizations, re-emerge from the challenges of the last few years.
As a community member who is aware of the value and importance of JGCA to our community, you may be interested in board service. If so, please review the list of board responsibilities:
Attend regular meetings of the board and actively participate in board decision making
Actively participate in board committees
Participate in events and fundraising
Serve as a resource to the board, committees, and staff
If after reviewing the board member responsibilities, you’d like to receive more information, fill and sumbit the Board of Directors Interest Form on our website at https://jazzgallerycenterforarts.org/opportunities by Friday, March 10 2023. Form submitions are sent to Tyler at the info@jazzgallerycenterforarts.org.
In the meantime, if you have any questions, please contact Mark at info@jazzgallerycenterforarts.org.
Yours truly,
Mark Lawson, Board President, Jazz Gallery Center for the Arts
