“Time On Our Side”
Art exhbition will be June 10 - July 22 2023
Opening Reception: June 10, 3-6pm
Time on Our Side is a celebration of the contribution artists over sixty continue to make to our community’s cultural life. This exhibition features artwork in a wide variety of subject matter, materials and mediums. All artists must be sixty years of age or older. Diversity is encouraged in media, style, and subject-matter. In order to support our non-profit Jazz Gallery Center for the Arts, please consider submitting works that are for sale. The gallery charges 25% commission on sold artwork.
Please submit images to exhibition-organizer, Amy Schmutte, by (but no later than) June 1, for review. If you are unable to email images, artwork can be physically brought to the gallery by the same due date. Amy can be reached at owlprogrammanager@gmail.com. Art will be juried by a neutral panel of local fine artists.
Notification of acceptance of works for exhibition will be communicated within 48 hours of the submission due date (6/1).
Artists may submit up to three works (though not all are guaranteed to be included).
After the jury-process, all accepted works must be exhibition ready and delivered to the Jazz Gallery by 5:00 PM on Saturday June 3. Jazz Gallery is open Noon-5pm Thursdays and Saturdays.
Located at 926 E. Center Street in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the Jazz Gallery Center for the Arts (JGCA) is a non-profit organization serving Southeastern Wisconsin with a diverse range of visual and performing arts programming, created by a diverse community of visual and performing artists. At JGCA we provide opportunities to create, present, and experience the arts.
