Known throughout the music world, The Jazz Gallery was one of the nation’s premier jazz clubs from it’s opening in September 1978 until its close in late 1984. Owner Chuck LaPaglia produced spectacular concerts featuring a who’s who of artists, including: Dizzy Gillespie, Betty Carter, Freddy Hubbard, Stan Getz, Max Roach, Jimmy Smith, Sun Ra, Mose Allison, Wynton Marsalis, Brandford Marsalis, Dexter Gordon, Chet Baker, Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers, and many more.
