R.J. Ziebarth + Shell Bells + Robbie Sender
Friday, July 10th @ 7:00pm
At the Jazz Gallery Center for the Arts - 926 East Center Street
Sprawling instrumentals, worn melodies and a buttery yet brutal baritone — the music of Milwaukee singer-songwriter R.J. Ziebarth flows patiently and curiously through the realms of indie folk, roots and alternative rock. His unique songwriting style is as darkly comical as it is evocative, allowing the listener to truly immerse themselves in worlds of his creation.
An amalgamation of indie folk, sunshine rock, neo-soul, and sound healing psychedelia, Milwaukee artist and sprite Shell Bells utilizes her intuitive imagination and tender heart to deliver her song babies straight from the soul. This fae’s amorphous musical style utilizes both guitar and vocal effects to cultivate a transcendental space ripe with playfulness.
Robbie Sender is a Milwaukee-based singer-songwriter, blending elements of country, folk, and roots music with punchy and poetic storytelling. Lyricism lies at the heart of his music, drawing on influences like Townes Van Zandt, Luke Bell, and Conor Oberst. Raised on pop-punk and Patsy Cline, he leans on the wisdom of the greats, four chords and the truth.
