Manty Ellis Jazz Series Presents: Marques Carroll Quintet (Chicago)

At the Jazz Gallery Center for the Arts - 926 East Center Street

The Marques Carroll Quintet is a Chicago based ensemble led by trumpeter Marques Carroll and includes drummer Greg Artry, pianist Julius Tucker, bassist Christian Dillingham, and saxophonist Brent Griffin. Carroll is a Jazz Educator for Chicago Jesuit Academy and UIC, a Grammy member, an Emmy award winner, a co-founder of JMarq Records, and a former member of the legendary Count Basie Orchestra. Carroll has gathered together a group of musicians over the last few years to showcase his original music that deals with social ideals through music.
