Artists Statement: McKinley Blackwell
I grew up watching a lot of cartoons and anime. I would always draw my favorite characters and draw comics about them whenever I had the time. I feel very much at peace when I start drawing. Coloring is definitely my favorite part in the creative process I use in making these pieces. I use Prismacolor markers and pens to create my work. I've really come into using them along my art-making journey.
My biggest influences are Yoshihiro Togashi (HunterxHunter) and Bryan Lee O'Maley (Scott Pilgrim).
