Shedding (shedding.org)

"Over the past four years, I’ve been inspired by the movement of bird flocks to explore the relationship between chaos and order in nature. Once the musical environments have been developed, without any traditional sequenced patterns, the goal has been to react to that intentional volatility and explore the permutations of perceived order within the chaos.

There’s also an intent to deal with restraint as a reaction to the frequent excess in electronic music in a variety of ways. My reaction to the excess of sound means that about three-fourths of the set is comprised of a 2 second sample of 32 single cycle waveforms. The other quarter of raw sound is a handful of hi-hat samples and one kick drum sample. The restraint is also a reaction to the commodification and fetishization of gear within electronic music. This often leads to shallow exploration. Because of that I wanted to focus on a single complex, but compact, tool."

Wild.church

Wild.church is the semi-theatrical collaborative effort between songwriter Paul Feyertag and computer musician Erik Schoster. Current interests include: lyricism, resonant sculpture, movement, storytelling, silence and the spectromorphology of occupied spaces.

Tontine Ensemble (tontineensemble.com)

Tontine Ensemble was founded in the spring of 2014 with the mission to perform improvisational and contemporary chamber works, as well as champion new music from composers in their community. Its four current members first played together for a Blank Radio (Milwaukee, WI) recording session and immediately began rehearsing regularly. Tontine Ensemble has appeared as guest artists at Mike Neumeyer and Friends, Danceworks, Inc. (Paleontology of a Woman - 2014, Footsteps, Shadows & Whispers - 2015), Milwaukee Follies, Formations Series for New and Improvised Music, Alverno Presents (Prince Uncovered - 2015), The Pre-Maturely Air Conditioned Arts Collective, performed in the inaugural Milwaukee Fringe Festival in August 2016, and collaborated on a new score to the choreography of Garrett Glassman for Milwaukee Ballet’s “MXE: Milwaukee Mixed” event in February 2018.
